Scarlet Perez is a Writer/Director/Editor with 25 years experience in video editing.

 

Scarlet Co-Directed and Edited two award winning Public Service Announcements dealing with the issue of Oral Sex amongst teenagers "Sex in the High School" and "Gender Bender." Both KAISER SAFE SEX PSA spots won GOLD CREATIVITY BDA awards at PROMAX in 2004.
 
Scarlet also Wrote, Directed and Edited her first short film BIPOLAR & CHEESE‪ which won a slue of awards and screened in NYC, Los Angeles, Toronto and Cannes.

 

Currently, Scarlet works at NBUniversal Creative Marketing Television and Streaming as a Writer/Producer/Editor, creating Promos and Trailers for shows such as “The Real Housewives" and “Top Chef” franchises.
 
Prior to NBCU, Scarlet worked for Bravo On-Air Promos, FX On-Air Promos, NBC, Warner Bros. Promotions, Comedy Central On-Air Promos, Lifetime On-Air Promos, VH1 Productions, Hells Kitchen, Nickelodeon On-Air Promos, The Sci-Fi Channel, Spike TV, Liquid Theory, Dakota Pictures, American Apparel, Match Frame, Belief, Hotel Fountain, Pyro-Creative, Stun Creative and Playground.
 
From 2000-2006, Scarlet worked full-time as an in-house Producer/Editor for MTV On-Air Promotions in New York City. Her clients include MTV, MTV2, MTVU, MTV Español, mtv.com, MTV Home Entertainment, MTV Networks International, Simon & Schuster, VHUno, Logo, The Kaiser foundation, MTV Films, Paramount Pictures, VH1 Productions, Nickelodeon, and Spike TV. One of her groundbreaking and noteworthy spots was MTV2's highly sought-after Integrated Marketing campaign with SPRITE.
 
Originally from Miami, Florida, Scarlet attended film school at the UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Video-Film. After graduation, she spent the next year hosting and editing approximately 100 episodes of Kenneth's Freakquency, a late-night alternative talk show which aired nightly on USA Broadcasting's WAMI in Miami.
